Is anyone else using a charger right now? If so, then you should probably thank Ajay Bhatt. Don't know who he is? Then you're in the right place, allow me to explain.
Ajay Bhatt is the engineer who is "widely recognized as one of the key inventors of the Universal Serial Bus (USB)." AKA the thing that saves me whenever my battery drops to 1%. According to an article by an unnamed source at SparkFun "The USB was developed by a team of engineers at Intel led by Ajay Bhatt, who says he was inspired to take on the task after having continual issues using a printer.".
Since the release of USB 1.0 in 1996, it has undergone various updates to improve on it's universality and efficiency. For example, USB type C was introduced in 2014 and back in 2019, USB 4.0 was released. With each release comes faster transfer speeds and improved support for audio and video devices.
While I have not even begun to scratch the surface about Ajay Bhatt's accomplishment, I can confidently say that he ran with technology so we could run even further! I'm now off to charge my phone with my wonderful USB charger, see you next week!
